Spaced: The Complete Series marked 29.25 at Best Buy- B&M

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up that Spaced was market as 29.25 at my local Best Buy today, instead of the advertised 39.99 in the ad. So, this makes it a must buy, and you need to drop what your doing and go get it.

Proofsies:

(Sorry if pic is bad)

Ooh! Good deal, but I just ordered off Amazon, for $35. I'll be sure to tell a friend though. Thanks for the post!

YMMV? I just purchased it online for instore pick up and it was still $39.99. I haven't picked it up yet so I can't say if they will take the $10 off or not.

This sounds really YMMV. A price ending in .25? Hoping it's true though, because that might be the shot in the arm I need to go pick this up.

Well, isn't this the damn oddest thing...

stopped by BB on the way home tonight and found three copies on the rack.

Two were stickered $39.99. One was marked $29.25.

Guess which one I bought?

It rang up as $39.99, but the sticker price was listed as $29.25. The cahsier did a quick price adjust and I was on my merry way. GREAT deal!

I can confirm this now. Basically make sure you pick up one marked as $29.25 and they will do a price adjustment. This worked for me even though I did an in store pick online.

San Jose Area:
  • Curtner: All stickered at $39.99.
  • Almaden: Curiously entirely absent above the $39.99 tag.
  • Santana Row: Shelf tag of $39.99, all six or seven copies stickered at $29.25, scanned at $39.99, cashier overrode mine without a blink--maybe because they were more focused on whether I should get the Serenity: CE at the posted $5.99 price (which they very kindly did in the end, probably exploding anyone else's chances in the process, but I guess that's another deal thread).

... on a related note... I picked up a copy of "Birds of Prey" with a sticker price of $25.49. It rang up as $34.99 but when they saw the price tag they adjusted it with even asking.

Several at 39.99 ... picked up the only one with a $29.25 sticker ... cashier didn't notice that it rang up for more than the sticker, but price adjusted when I asked for it.

Thanks to the OP. My store had 2 copies with the $29.25 price and 1 with $39.99. I had to get them to adjust the price. They also have 6 copies of Birds of Prey with the price $25.49 but will wait to get cheaper.

(sorry bigt7117, but you typed exactly what I wanted to say )

Jacksonville, FL one near the Avenues if anyone cares (there should be 1 left with the $29.25 sticker).

Damn. My BB only had two copies yesterday and both were marked 39.99. It doesn't seem like they stocked this too well. I wish I could've gotten one that was mispriced, but I'm happy to have the set any way.

Yesterday my store had a bunch of copies. I went back to the store today to check if any were 29.25 and there were none left. They took them off the shelves to re-sticker them.

I bought the UK version a couple years back as a blind buy and loved it. My wife, who generally dislikes british comedy, also loved it. If you like Simon Pegg, you'll probably appreciate it (see Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead for more info).

I drove up to the Best Buy in Anderson, SC and they didn't have any on the shelf. I had them look it up and they said the computer said they have five, and that they hadn't sold any yet, but they didn't know where they were. I asked to speak to the manager of the department to ask if they had them pulled, and in usual Best Buy asshole fashion he spoke loud and proud that he was indeed the manager and that if anyone pulled them, he'd be the first to know and he didn't know anything about it.

I'm sure he pulled them, and I'm sure he was lying to me.

Have I mentioned lately that I hate Best Buy?

Thanks OP.

My store had three on the shelf and only one was marked at 29.25. Price adjustment at the register no questions asked.
