Replacing a Malata DVD Player Remote

Unfortunately, a cup of coffee is apparently kryptonite to remotes, because I managed to fry the remote to my Malata DVD-856 with a well-placed splash.

Looking around online, I haven't been able to find any sellers offering replacements nor good contact info for the company. At this point, I wonder if going the Universal Remote route won't be easier, but my concern is finding one that's compatible.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks folks!

The info for my Malata DVD-N996 is in the database of my Logitech Harmony 670.

Thanks for the reply! I ended up picking up a Logitech, and it's been a great addition to my (meager) home system. A bit pricey, but beats having to juggle remotes anymore.
