I mean, is there any reason why people in LA don't need to see Planet Earth in HD for the same price as people in SJ ? Or is there no need for people in SJ to watch Matrix on HD for the same price as those in LA ? WTF is the logic behind this ? Drives me crazy.

Some of those titles might not even be in stock in other areas. I wonder if they've dropped the price of the Ultimate Matrix Collection (more extras than the "Complete" one). I'll probably end up going there today to check, though gas prices are killing me!

San Diego had plenty of the Planet Earth HDVD's and Matrix Trilogy, unfortunately the Matrix Trilogy not on sale yet. Though getting Pan's Labyrinth and A Clockwork Orange for $9.99 is pretty good also.

Planet Earth is $39.99 at OC (SoCal) - checked when I went to get the Matrix trilogy at the Fountain Valley store. There were very few left though - if anyone's interested. Also Pan's Labyrinth was $11.99 and not $9.99. However there were plenty of the sale titles.

Seems like the studios have a ton of these and the dumping is beginning - still not the best price and they are figuring those with HD-DVDs will compare these prices to their BR counterparts and end up purchasing them at these prices. Winning strategy there, I should say.

The Sacramento store got in a few more titles, but only a few were $9.99, the rest were $11.99 (indicated in the newspaper ad). Don't know if they're going to keep these til they're all sold or what, I imagine different ones will be on sale each week for a while though.

Trying to find the combo disc of "Letters From Iwo Jima", but of the tons of copies all are the HD-only reissue. Wonder if all the combo discs were actually sold before the format died?

The original release of Boondock Saints was considered a "Special Edition". The newer version of the movie is the "Unrated Special Edition". I usually try and make sure to label the movies as accurately as I can to avoid this confusion.
