^ theme song from the Keanu Reeves movie. It didn't do very well, so it'd odd to be on a Greatest Hits collection, but then.. all of the significant hits are already here and it's a nice oddity that might entice fans to buy it. Nice to see this have the live version of Mony Mony, since the original version has been the one widely available on CD 'til now.

I'll go with Eyes Without A Face as my fave Billy Idol classic

I guess I'm the only one that thinks that Blue Highway deserves a place on at least one of Billy's greatest hits cds.

Of the ones on that CD, I'd go with Rebel Yell, Shock to the Syetm, or Cradle of Love.

But my favorite Billy Idol Song is Ready, Steady, Go from his Generation X days. Because I'm in love with Cathy McGowan.

no, you're not.

the entire rebel yell album is all you really need

i chose "eyes without a face"... that song encompasses everything billy idol did right. it's awesome!

i'll probably pick this up just for the DVD. that sounds cool.

"Dancing with Myself"

Billy put on a great show when I saw him a few years ago. I'm looking forward to seeing him again.

Yep, I saw him a couple of years ago and it was a great show. A long set and he was totally into it. With these "80's" artists, you never know if they are going to just be mailing it in. Of course he was touring a new album so that helped. And it was a good album.

Live "Mony, Mony"?

"Cradle of Love" video without the chick?

I think I'll stick with the GH cd.

I too will pick this up mainly for the dvd, already have his 2001 greatest hits cd "which will be going on half.com very soon" along with the expanded version of Rebel Yell, Whiplash Smile and Devils Playground, this GH cd/dvd along with the 3 studio albums i mentioned should keep me satisfied, oh and my favorite song's by Billy are "Hot in the City", "Crank Call", "Blue Highway", "Soul Standing By", "Cradle of Love" and "To Be a Lover", obviously i couldn't name 1 as a favorite.

Mony Mony (Live) is the version that went to #1 in 1987 from "Vital Idol" and not the original version.
"Cradle of Love" video will have the chick just not the scenes from The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.

actually it's time the live version of Mony Mony is on cd, instead of the Don't Stop 1981 version. The live version was the video and the version that hit #1

I'm buying this on the release date, and can finally do away with my home-burned DVDs of the VHS releases "Vital Idol" & "The Charmed Life", and my original VHS tapes, too. Why this didn't come out on DVD a long time ago, I'll never understand!

Never did catch him live but with him and Stevens side-by-side it was all energy. While "Dancing With Myself" and "White Wedding" are his mainstay classics I still love his take of the Doors "LA Women", he just nails that down so good I think Jim would be jealous. Besides the video was not bad either.

+ again, I also confirm that you are not the only one. That was definitely one of my favorite songs by Idol.
