Love the first movie, but refuse to watch the sequel(s)?
Not sure if this question has been posed before, but is there a movie franchise where you love the first movie but refuse to even watch the sequel or sequels?
This topic came to me today as I was thinking how much I enjoy xXx, but will never watch the sequel with Ice Cube.

American Psycho
The first one is one of my top 10 favorite movies ever, and properly introduced me to Christian Bale. The "sequal" that has absolutely nothing to do with the first one isn't anything I'd ever consider.

Austin Powers.
Technically I have seen the 2nd movie (it sucked) but I refuse to see the 3rd on the grounds that it is probably more of what made the 2nd movie suck so bad.

3rd Powers was a piss poorly made movie with some of the best gags in the series, hows that work? heh.
Basically anything with a STV sequel - American Psycho comes to mind.

I got most of the way through Speed 2. Rented it just to see how bad it was. Fell asleep several times, and I'm sure my dreams were more entertaining. I'll never go back. In fact, at this point, I refuse to admit or acknowledge that it even exists.

Just off the top of my head...Sequels/Prequels to any of the following:
-101 Dalmatians
-Aladdin
-An American Tail
-The Blair Witch Project
-The Brave Little Toaster
-Cinderella
-Dumb & Dumber
-The Fox And The Hound
-Lady And The Tramp
-The Land Before Time
-The Lion King
-The Little Mermaid
-Mulan
-Peter Pan
-Pocahontas
-The Sandlot
-Speed
-Tarzan
There are probably so many more though...Hollywood is always trying to cash in on a good film.

I was forced to watch the sequel with my cousin, but I made damn sure to never see the 3rd one. (Still have no idea if they made anymore)

I'm not a fan of the Blade, Universal Soldier, Mortal Kombat sequels or FutureWorld.

Bring it on
The Cutting Edge
Like others have mentioned, those Disney straight to video sequels to their "Classics"

I've seen them (I saw Matrix 2 in the theater, but I waited for 2 years to watch Matrix 3 on DVD, which I borrowed), but I refuse to do so ever again. Horrible movies that ruined the franchise. The first one was great, but the drop off was precipitous.

Since the fourth one just opened, it seems timely to say Raiders of the Lost Ark. The first sequel, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was horrid. Two hours of Kate Capshaw screaming? I'll pass. The only reason I have it on DVD is that it came in the box set.
Liked the third one however. And I plan to see "Crystal Skull" later today.
