Request: please add context to your posts

I've noticed a bit of a trend lately, where posters will throw up a screenshot (or perhaps a bit of concept art, sometimes a video) without comment, without links, and without context. These sorts of posts are not useful.

A simple request: if a new game is announced or rumored, and you have pictures or videos, please state what game you're talking about, and provide a link to the source of the info. That way we can actually having a meaningful discussion without a ton of posts asking what you're talking about.

Thanks!

Groucho doesn't seem to understand the Random Picture Post thread.

Hmm, I wonder who he's talking about?

Seriously, though, it is pretty annoying.

Thank GOD this was addressed. I am so tired of going into a thread that is entitled "Official Metal Gear Solid 4 thread" and all that is in the thread is pictures and videos of Snake from Metal Gear Solid 4 without any context as to what the pictures are or where they come from or even what game they belong to.

I think if you read some of the general console threads you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Cock Tease. Believe.

Seriously, it is slightly annoying. Just a link from whence the image came would suffice. Some of us have nothing better to do all day than sit here and scour our usual haunts for updates. When we see an update worth investigating, it's quite frustrating to have no way to get more information immediately.

Of course I mean the proverbial we, as in: me.

I think the problem is seeing something somewhat cool and being interested in what it is, with no way of getting more info like a game title.

Well, the other thing to take in consideration is that some people, like me, check this forum from work, where the proxy will not show youtube and sometimes pics from some sharing sites.
So yeah, when I'm at work I'll see blank posts a lot here with no idea what they are trying to show.

This thread's graphics have that stretched out, HD XBLA makeover look. Heresy! Mainstream!
