Trouble playing Gamecube Teen Titans on Wii!

Very sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I am pretty much a clueless newb when it comes to the post-pac man video game era. My wife picked up Teen Titans for Gamecube for ten bucks at Target. Anyway when we put this thing in the Wii, the first thing that comes up is the language selection screen, with English already highlighted. However no manipulation of any of the controls seems to "OK" this selection and move one along to actually play the game. Anybody know what I'm supposed to be doing? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

No, I'm using the Wii controls. Is that my problem? I need to get gamecube controllers? Guess I should've done a little more research before I started buying gamecube games. Thanks, man.

Yeah Teen Titans for GC was like the 1st game Backwards Compatible game I bought after getting a Wii. I lucked out and found a used Wavebird controller and you'll need a GC controller to play it.

But stay away from the 1019 (larger capacity) cards.

Why? I use a Nyko 64 Mb on my Wii (and GC before that) and haven't had a problem yet.

The Wii has been known to corrupt the 1019 cards.

I used to work for Sony and we had many calls regarding 3rd party unlicensed memory cards either messing up the controller and memory card ports or saved files being deleted or corrupted. I'm sure this is probably the same for any system.

I would spend the extra few dollars to get a first party or at least a licensed memory card. You can probably get the GC memory cards on the cheap now.
