Citizen Kane vs. The Thing

Obviously, with all the films it's pitted against, The Thing is the greatest film of all-time. Or is it? Could Kane run the alien creature into the ground with his yellow journalism, or would the shape-shifting beast ride Rosebud into eternity?

Discuss.

In terms of heads that walk on their own after being removed from its respective body, I have to give Citizen Kane the slightest edge. Oh wait.......

I give Citizen Kane a HUGE edge because I always wanted to fuck young Agnes Moorehead.

...The Thing...not so much.

Practical dog tongue flower attack vs. deep focus snowglobe. I chose snowglobe.

I've never seen either film, but my Citizen Kane DVD is b&w and FOOLSCREEN. So I voted for the other one.

One on one, I think the Thing would make short work of Charles Foster Kane. If, however, this is a fight that drags on over many weeks in the media, The Thing would still win. Sure, Kane's newspapers would say that it is inhuman but it would only take one brave Barbara Walters interview to show the Thing's compassionate side, at which point it would be celebrated.

Only Alien or Se7en can trump The Thing. And that's by the skin of their teeth. The Thing wins over every movie ever! (Except the already mentioned Alien and Se7en.)

It would go down like this: The Thing would become Kane and rule with yellow journalism.

I choose Citizen Kane and though I've never seen it, it has to trump this lousy Volkswagen.

I want to see a Thing vs Good Burger poll. That's the only film that can knock The Thing off of it's lofty perch.

Could Charles Foster Kane bite someone's arms off with his chest? No.

The Thing by a mile, dude.

Citizen Kane is in black and white. The Thing is in color. No question. The Thing wins!
