Anyone rent from here?

I've avoided online renting up to this point, but Greencine looks interesting. A little more expensive than Netflix or Blockbuster, but they seem to have more of an emphasis & better selection of cult/indie flicks. Anyone use them, tell me if they have good customer service and mail stuff out on time?

they are great for obscure stuff that you cant find anywhere else. I had problems though with discs being very unplayable because they are so beat up but then again this is a problem with all rental places

I used to rent from them about three years ago with no real problems other than shipping time. It usually took about 4-5 days for movies to arrive in my mailbox once I was emailed that Greencine had shipped them. Their only distribution center was on the West Coast and I am in Ohio. They said they were going to add more distribution centers in the future so that's what I'd suggest you check before signing up.

Thanks. My method up to this point has been "just buy it, if I don't like it, sell it on Ebay and the few bucks I lose isn't any more than the cost of a rental".

I recently joined because of the obscure titles available. They now have a policy called quick return or something like that. When you return your current rental you go to the web site and let them know and they send the next one in your queue before they get the return. Still takes longer than netflix but then I am on the right coast and Greencine is on the wrong coast so its understandable.

I used these guys for about a year, year and a half, about 4-5 years ago. Great availability of obscure titles. And good customer service and taking suggestions. Like when they implemented the locked queue and then fancy subqueues so you could get anime / TVonDVD discs in the correct order - upon customer suggestion - something that Netflix didn't have at the time.

Used to rent a lot of anime titles through them, although Netflix is so big now they tend to have better stocks of anime than they used to, so the wife uses that these days.
