Which movie have you double dipped the most on?

I've got:

3 different versions
Dazed & Confused
-1st DVD release, Criterion, and HD DVD

Almost Famous
-1st DVD release, Bootleg Cut, and Blu-ray

Casablanca
-Original Snapper, 2-disc, and HD DVD

Got more than 3?

William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet (1996) - 4 VERSIONS
*I bought the "Special Edition" when that came out.
*Then I got the Baz Luhrmann Box set which contains the same version of the dvd but has different box art.
*Then I picked up the Shakespeare Box set which contains William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet (1996), Titus (2-disk SE), and A midsummer's Nights Dream (Note: I also now have 2 copies of the Titus: 2-disk Se because of this box set)
*Finally I got the William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet: Music Edition of the film.

And I still have all 4 versions. I dont like to break apart box sets to sell but might end up selling my original SE or the one in the Shakespeare box set.

ALEXANDER - 4 VERSIONS
*2-Disk WS Theatrical Edition DVD
*2-Disk WS "Director's Cut" DVD (picked this up on release date with the Theatrical edition)
*2-Disk "Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut" DVD
*2-Disk "Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut" HD-DVD (This is really the SOLE reason i bought an HD-DVD to be able to get the exclusive special features on the HD-DVD version. I was disgusted the features were not on the standard DVD version but i did cave in when the players were at Wal-Mart for $99 + 5 free DVD's and Alexander for $16. The strange thing is I still hve only watched the Theatrical DVD edition of the film so far. Someday I'll get to the other versions.)
And I still own all 4 versions of this one as well.

TROY- 3 VERSIONS
*2-disk WS TROY DVD(original version) (Movie Gallery $5 pre-viewed)
*2-disk ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S EDITION DVD BOX SET of TROY: Director's Cut
*2-disk TROY: Director's Cut HD-DVD (They sent me this with the 5 free rebate program when i bought the player even though I did not choose it as one of my selections)

JAMES BOND (3 VERSIONS OF DIE ANOTHER DAY; 2 Version of the other 19 FILMS before CASINO ROYALE)
* Die Another Day: 2-disk SE;
*1-disk Special Editions of all the James bond Films (die another day is 2-disk) (these were the box sets that came out in 2002 and 2003 I believe);
*And i picked up all 4 of the 10 disk (2-disks per film) box sets that came out in 2006.

I think Die Hard is my only quadruple dip, with the VHS tape, original DVD, Ultimate Collection DVD, and Blu-ray disc.

Technically that may not even be accurate, because I don't remember if we actually purchased the VHS tape or if it was given to us. We did have the real tape, so I'll go ahead and let it count.

Since I can't find my VHS tapes right now, it'd be LOTR: ROTK. Bought the two disc, then the four disc.

The only title that I can think of that I've triple-dipped on DVD only is:

Blade Runner:

1-disc original DVD
1-disc remastered DVD
5-disc briefcase edition

At least triple dips on Stargate and the Fifth Element (quad if you count VHS).

Almost Famous:
Original, Bootleg Cut, Blu

and then Star Wars is a another subject in and of itself.

I got four DVD copies of Toy Story and/or five copies if you count my LD. I also got a bunch of T2s as well as some of the Universal horror films and the first two alien movies. I also got three DVDs (coiunting the HD) of Carpenter's The Thing plus 2 LDs. I'm sure there's plenty of other titles in the same range.

If we're talking VHS releases:

When its Blu-ray comes out later this year, Batman (1989) will be the record holder at 5 times: VHS, DVD, widescreen VHS, 2-disc SE, and then the Blu-ray.

4 times:

The Shawshank Redemption - VHS, 1-disc DVD, 2-disc SE, Blu-ray (come its release)

RoboCop - Criterion, trilogy release, 20th Anniversary CE, Blu-ray

Edward Scissorhands - VHS, DVD, tin reissue DVD, Blu-ray

Lethal Weapon (1 and 2) - DVD, DC DVD, triple feature, HD DVD

Looking over at my collection, I don't think I have any triple dippings, yet. Two Army of Darkness, two Videodrome, two Nightmare on Elm Street, and a couple others.

For me it would have to be Troy. I have the original theatrical 2 disc widescreen DVD, the 2 disc director's cut DVD, and the Troy Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD. Leon comes a close second.

Well. I own the 1-disc Close Encounters (got it for $2), the 2-disc (found it a month later in a 2-for-15 deal), and recently the Close Encounters Blu-ray.

Also, the 2-disc theatrical cut of Kingdom of Heaven, as well as the 4-disc Director's Cut, and the blu-ray of the DC.

I also bought Cars and Pirates 1 & 2 on blu-ray after already owning the dvds.

I think I've double-dipped on this thread idea more than any DVD.

But my answer is probably The Princess Bride. I have all 4 (or is it 5?) releases so far.
