I could never understand these threads. The enjoyable part of owning huge collections like most people do here is that you can just walk up to the shelves and go and get lost for hours staring at your movies searching for that one movie that FEELS right and fits the mood your own. Scheduling what movies your going to watch weeks ahead of time just kind of spoils the fun of going to your collection with one movie in mind, but coming out with something a hundred times better.

Unfortanutely some of us don't have hours (well, maybe weekends) to spend browsing our collections. And trust me, spontaneously picking a movie that feels "right" is much easier said than done ...yeah, that comes from experience. Not that I don't enjoy a good stare every now and then, I'd just personally rather spend that time actually watching a movie.

Weeks?! Hell, I'm extremely sporadic and decide what's on my schedule the day this thread is posted and half the time I don't even follow it. And aside from myself very few actually include a schedule. Regardless, the point of this thread is to make a DVD journal of sorts so you can keep track of what you're watching as well as getting ideas from others, sharing reviews, etc. The only problem is this thread has dwindled down to only a handful of people and no one seems to give a shit about it anymore. Yet, people are always enthusiastic about sharing what they bought. Go figure. Only at DVD Talk.

Exactly. I use this thread to keep track of what I watch as the week progresses and to check out what everyone else is watching. I don't think I've ever really posted a "schedule", instead, I just post what I've watched after I've watched it.

Personally, I love this thread and I'm glad that Chad keeps it going week after week even when there are less and less people participating.

The violence was awesome and the story was interesting, but it didn't have the multi-colored synth dreamlike feeling of Suspiria and Inferno.
