Dale Earnhardt set $5 at Wal-Mart
Yet more proof that I'll buy anything on DVD if it's cheap enough, just got the "Dale" set for 5 bucks. It's in the same type of tin case as last year's Garth Brooks set (which I also got when it went below $10, even though I'm not much of a country music fan), the discs are in a book-like thing and all but one are dual-layer and most run about 3 hours so this is going to take a while to get through. It sure would have been worth the 20 bucks it was when it came out if I'd had any interest in it, for 5 bucks it's a steal.
I'm not a big fan of any type of racing and didn't even know who this guy was, but have thought a few times that it'd be cool to be a racecar driver if I knew how to go about getting into that field, so this should be fun to watch whenever I have the time.

Seriously, I'll get one for that price. The Dale movie was awesome and all the bonus stuff looks great.
This Wal-Mart exclusive DVD and CD box set includes a movie, bonus material, Winston 500 race, Dale-tona (Daytona race) and much, much more! Lot's of interviews with family, friends, competitors, and even of Dale himself. Included are the full versions of the 1998 Daytona 500 and the 2000 Winston 500.

Living in the Appalachians, I'm not going to hold my breath for this price reduction to take effect in my area. Last year, everyone was reporting sales on Talladega Nights, but that never took effect at any of the Wal Marts in my area. I hope I'm wrong though.

It might take some locations a while to mark it down, the same thing happened with the Garth Brooks set though that went down to $15 first then to $10 a few months later. The store I went to this week was in Dixon, CA, it was just a fluke that I was there at all. Haven't been to any other stores recently.

Those of us living in the heart of NASCAR country (within earshot of a major motor speedway) will have a hard time finding it for this price if it ever goes on sale. Dale is still worshipped here...it's hard to go anywhere without seeing that dang "3" plastered all over the place.

I must've been really lucky picking this up, as all the other Wal-Marts I've been to in the past few months (mostly Sacramento) still have this at $19.95. Haven't been back to Dixon since February so don't know if they're still selling it for $5.

Hate to bump such an oldie, but my local Walmart (Mililani, HI) marked the tins down to $2.50, after a week they moved the display from back of the DVD section to the checkout area and now moving briskly.

For the GA people, I was visiting Lake Lanier this weekend and stopped into the Wal-Mart in cumming Ga. IT WAS 3.00! That's right, THREE BUCKS!
My dad is a huge nascar/dale fan, so it was a good deal for a nice gift. Good luck guys.

In Beckley, WV at the Wal-Mart by Sam's Club it has dropped to $2 after being $13 for months. They had 2 displays on each side of the store at the front plus another one in electronics department.

Sam's Clubs still seems to have them. If your are still struggling and want it 2 years after the OP, just go eBay, you can get it under 10 bucks that route.
