Is there some new ad scheme or is it spyware?

I just had a new ad pop up for the entire screen with a "skip this ad" line that took me back where I wanted to be. Is this the new way of things?

I've been getting blocked popup notices in FFX this afternoon myself.

Just got it, too. I've avoided sites in the past because of this kind of shit.

Popup blocker just blocked some American Express ads for me. Ugh.

Okay, someone email me when they stop. I'd rather work than deal with that stuff.

Got a rather big pop-up. Me don't like. I have the attention span of a nat, anyway.

oh, I'm getting pop-ups and full screen ads. This is the worst thing to happen since the ad-in-a-post debacle of 2005.

Ok, I did get the popup ads on the main forum page that lists all the forums. That pretty much sucks.

I got them yesterday too, plus a higher frequency of obnoxious jumping ads that proclaim we're the ### visitor and have won $$$ or a !!!. Very disappointing. A lot of people surf this site with ad-blockers turned off to abide by the rules and help support the forum, but campaigns like this will make them change their minds very quickly and ultimately hurt the profitability of the site longterm.

Just got another popup. When nobody gets one for a full day, someone email me.

Thanks.

Does this mean DVDTALK is now on Internet Brands servers? It's been a whole day without the forum locking up on me. Which is weird.

I noticed a few pop-ups as well. I was certain I had them blocked thru Firefox although now as I was looking thru the settings I see DVDtalk as an allowed site for pop-ups. I just removed it.

Actually, it seemed to lock up earlier.

Edit: Ok, look like that was just part of the move. Hope all is working.
