Deadwood advice--any deals? wait it out?

I think the cheapest I saw the Deadwood sets were about 35-40 bucks a piece pre-Christmas. Did I miss out on the best deal?

Any advice on when there might be a decent deal on these?

Is it going to be the DDD 20% off sale or something else?

I'm starting to obsess over this! Any advice would be great.

That is the best deal i've seen on the Deadwood sets. I bought season 2 for 35, but i paid 50 for season 1. The general rule for HBO boxsets (in my opinion) is that if you can get it for under 45, buy it. I lucked out and got Carnivale for 19.99 during some freak Best Buy sale, so it happens, but if you want em now or anytime soon, 35-40 is a great deal. If you don't care when you get em, you can wait it out for sales.

I have a feeling DVDs will be real cheap soon.

best buy has had 50% off HBO sales two years running around christmas time, if you can wait almost a full year, then that would probably be one of the better deals. waiting that long might even result in a drop in the MSRP, which could make it even lower.

Wait for series set... I am... Looking at the series box sets with Sex & city/Six Feet Under, I'm assuming one with Deadwood. Plus the movies still hopefully might happen despite what ian mcshane said... I'm wishing anyway

i say wait it out. will only get cheaper and now that it's cancelled, the MSRP will drop for sure.

I'd wait for some kind of Blu-Ray Complete Series set at this point.

The best deal on Deadwood was at Costco last summer, they ended up being $30 each with a coupon. Due to an error on the part of the cashier, I got Season 2 for $10!

Agreed. HBO's canceling of the series without guaranteeing the promise of some kind of wrap-up pretty much means the series will start going for cheap in the near future. Best thing to do is wait it out ala Carnivale.

Buy it used. HBO stuff is so overpriced. I picked up the first three seasons of The Sopranos used for $14 each at Half Price Books last year.

I paid around $30 for each season. I had them on my shelf for about a year until this past month when I started watching them, I am now half way through season 3 and I love this show!

I am sad that I am almost done with the whole season.

It's a totally amazing show...I picked it up for about $32/season, Best Buy.com had the HBO season sets for 60% off right after thxgiving, but i would agree with previous posters, they will probably have a 50% off HBO sale at some point.

After getting Six Feet Under 1-5 for $19.99 a piece at BB last year, I have high hopes that Deadwood will drop soon.
