Shake Hands with the Devil (Rwanda genocide)

Came out this week, courtesy of Seville pictures.

Based on General Romeo Dallaire's prize winning autobiography "Shake Hands with the Devil: The Failure of Humanity in Rwanda", but not to be confused with the excellent Peter Raymont documentary "Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Romeo Dallaire", which was released in 2004.

Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, this is a solid film and an excellent companion piece to "Hotel Rwanda". Roy Dupuis not only bears an uncanny resemblance with General Dallaire, but is performance is mesmerizing. Highly recommended.

This has been on my 'Save List' on Netflix forever. Hope they will finally put it into their inventory.
