What should i see tonight, Antonment or Michael Clayton?
Every year i try to find a way to see all of the best picture nominee's before the oscars. And i was checking out the local theater and it turns out that both are playing right after i get out of work. I don't really know anything about Antonment besides that its british and a costume drama, and Michael Clayton ive read is one of those good but not great movies. So choices, choices, choices... or i can always see/soak in "There Will Be Blood" again.

I haven't seen Atonement, but I enjoyed Michael Clayton. George Clooney did an excellent job of not playing himself for the 15th time. The ending could be seen as a little far-fetched, but I didn't notice it while I was watching it (of course, now if you go to see it, you will be hyper-aware of it).
Also, I will personally murder you if you donate any money to the abortion that is Meet the Spartans.

There Will Be Blood is much better than both of those. I personally enjoyed Atonement much more than Michael Clayton as well.
I will kill your family if you see Meet the Spartans.
P.S. Check out Cloverfield, its incredible!

at the comments on my untimely death if i see 'meet the spartans' I payed 4 bucks to rent date movie for the hell of it, and i want my 4 bucks and 70 minutes back. And i saw Cloverfield the other night, awsome flick indeed. Actually the only way i'd see 'meet the spartans' is if i am dragged by my gf, and i am gurenteed some kind of sex out of it, which i know wouldnt' happen.

There Will Be Blood is, IMO, the best movie of the year. I liked Michael Clayton a lot when it came out but it seemed few people saw it and I was pleasantly surprised that it collected its Oscar nominations. Atonement is the worst movie of its kind since The English Patient and I'm appalled (but not surprised) that it collected its Oscar nominations (although the girl was good).

DO NOT SEE MICHAEL CLAYTON!!!!! It was one of the most boring, pretentious, slow films I have sen in years. It's not horrible and the acting is good but I was left bored out of my mind and confused most of time....Go see there Will Be Blood a 2nd time (Or Atonement). TWBB is something I will probably look back on and wish I could have seen it a dozen times in theatres.

Michael Clayton is a gripping adult thriller - you know, like movies used to be no explosions, no special effect, no loud band - just a well scripted, acted, and directed legal thriller.

Ended up seeing Atonment (since Clayton comes out on dvd 2/19 mainly). Slow, somewhat confusing at times, but it all made sense by the end. Surprised that there were no acting nods for the movie. James Mcavory diserved a nomination imo.

I'd go see "Antonment" way before "Atonement."
