I barely use the Watch-Now service, but I'm sure some folks will find this useful. Seriously, who chooses the movies to upload for that service? About the most interesting movie I could find on that thing was a documentary on the the computer font Helvetica .

Not real thrilled with Netflix... they put Dexter season 1 on watch-it-now... then took it off the next day. I was halfway through the season!!

I use it quite a bit. Mainly for the Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Outer Limits, and various other tv shows. I'm more likely to watch documentaries with the watch now. At some point, I'll be bored enough to watch the National Lampoon movies.

I don't need an unlimited plan, since I get 30-some odd hours a month already. One of my friends could use this, though, as he pretty much only uses the watch now feature. I think he's had less than 10 movies sent to his house since he joined 3 months ago.

About 25 movies from my queue are available as a download, so yeah, it's useful to me. Do you only watch new release Hollywood movies or something?

Relax. I was just trying to make a humorous point (I failed ) that the library should be bigger and more content rich than it stands after a year or so running. There's certainly good movies offered. However, there are a lot of low quality movies that are relative headscratchers as to why they were chosen instead of something else. If Netflix is offering just a limited number of movies for streaming, they should almost all be cream of the crop material.

Sweet. Now I can watch Jeremiah Season 2, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Outer Limits, Heroes and whatever else without the major inconvenience of dividing it up on a monthly basis ...providing I can actually find the time to do so of course.

Netflix can't just add whatever they want to the download service. They undoubtedly have to negotiate with the rights holders for any and all content included. I would guess that Big box-office new releases are not within the budget of a service that basically comes free with membership.

I have the opposite POV. The "cream of the crop" material is what I want to watch on my HT setup (which in my case atleast doesn't have a computer attached and I suspect I'm not the only one). Watching old TV shows and lesser known titles on my computer, w/o having to take up a rental slot, is exactly what this service was made for IMHO.

This is very cool. I just watched The Seven Year Itch the other day on "Watch It Now".

I'll probably never go much over the 18 hours I used to get, anyway. I'm sure Netflix realized that is true of almost everyone, so they decided to make it unlimited, which is a psychological win for them without really taxing their services any more at all.

Buy a $50 wireless sender+receiver from X10 and a $5 VGA-> composite cable, and you can watch these on your TV
