I've got all three parts still unwatched on my DVR, after reading the overwhelmingly negative comments on TVTalk, I'm not sure I'll ever even finish watching them (got about 30 min. into pt.1).

Imagine this....taking the WIZARD OF OZ and transforming it into every cliche ridden, stereotypical, predictable, cookie-cutter sci-fi "extravaganza" that we've seen rehashed over the past 20 years.
I think that's a fair assesment.
It was horrible.

Those who are considering blind-buying this should really try and watch it on Sci-Fi first (I'm sure they'll re-run it ad nauseum). Or just read the thread in TV Talk. It's really terrible.
Those who liked it, enjoy! Sounds like a nice set at least.

If you liked it, enjoy the set. Having said that...
If you've never seen, do not even begin to consider it as a blind buy, especially if you're thinking "Hey, I like Wizard of Oz and Sci-Fi stuff, so I should like this."
Calling this a trainwreck is doing a disservice to trainwrecks.

Agree with everyone above. I think I got 45 minutes into it, and it felt like I watched the whole damned thing. Even the cute Zooey Deschanel couldn't save this mess.

Which can either suck or be pretty god actually.
Last years The Lost Room (which was a sci fi presents) was really good.

Borders is having a third disc for the set, exclusive to their store. According to the description on their webpage, the third disc has some behind the scenes feature.
