MythBusters DVD releases are confusing. Let me start by saying don't get Season One, Volume Two, as all of the episodes on that are also on the Season 3 set plus 15 others.

As a quick synopsis, to get all the episodes through the fourth season (not including specials), you just need Pilots, Season One, Season 3 and Season 4. Here's a list I made showing which episodes appear on which DVD.

Nice that the Best of Discovery Collection volume 4 is on sale for 9.99 and you don't have to spend $50 to get it this time.

Ordered the third and fourth seasons of Mythbusters and a few of the specials. Not counting clip shows and the holiday special (which I held off on getting in case it's included in season five), I am only missing the Jaws Special, which is out of print and unavailable (despite being included in this sale). It goes for $60+ on Amazon, so I doubt I'll ever get it without a reprint being issued.

Too bad Planet Earth isn't included in the sale. At $50 it's still a little high for my tastes. I tried getting the much cheaper BBC version, but it's just not the same...

I wish I'd known this earlier! I bought both my sons part one and two of season one for Christmas. One of them also got season 3 and the other got season 4. So I still need one copy of season 3 and one of season 4, and I guess the pilots because it looks like they aren't on any of the sets I've already gotten them. I only see one pilots set and it only has 3 episodes on it. Is that the only one they need? Discovery sure does make it confusing for people trying to get all the episodes.

MythBusters Revealed and MythBusters Outtakes are on the current Best of Discovery Vol 4 set.
Also, there was an Episodes 75-79 set, but they don't have it listed anymore.

And to answer the above question, yes the Pilots DVD has all 3 pilot episodes, which are not available on any other season set.
