Anyone going to Sundance this year?

Heading out there for the first time, curious if any other Otter is making the trek.

Didn't know Choke got adapted, that jumps to the top of my 2008 must sees just behind The Dark Knight.

Edit: I take that back, I remember hearing Sam Rockwell was playing lead in it. Thought it was just a rumor though. Nice pick, can't wait.

They filmed that in Jerz. Fun fact, Dave Matthews is one of the secret uncredited producers.

Knew that, big Dave Matthews fan too

Now all we need is Palahniuk's "Survivor" to finally get made and his 3 best novels get the film treatment they deserve (assuming Choke was done well)

i have 2 questions:

1- i know many some movies like "Hamlet 2" and "Choke" were sold to companies but how do they really do that? i mean do they auction the rights? or is it who has the best connections to the filmmakers or what? i am only asking because it seems like a mess...

2-is there a comprehensive list of the movies there were sold to companies this year?

thanks!

From my understanding its kinda like you show the films at the festival and if a studio executive is interested they either send you something or a rep. over to talk to you.

Isnt that Kevin Smith got Weinsteins to bite on Clerks. ?
