DVDEMPIRE: 50% OFF select pre-orders 1st week of 2008

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I noticed DVDEMPIRE has 50% off pre-orders the first week of 2008... 5 titles only. Seem like a good deal... or what?

I think they have been doing this for awhile. You will notice it says something like selected titles, which means crap titles.

Yeah, their ad for it at DVDTalk boldly features the artwork for 3:10 to Yuma; click on the ad to buy it at half off and whaddya get? No 3:10 to Yuma...

I couldn't be the only one foolish enough to think the title meant 50% off everything during the 1st week of 2008, could I?

They do this all the time, they just change the titles. Usually it's at least got a popular pre-order or two.

Is it really only the one title they have selected?

Man, that´s deceiving. I thought one could pre-order up to 5 titles and get them for half the price.
