Question about DVD Empire

Hi All,

A friend of mine emailed me a gift certificate to DVD empire for Christmas.
I have never ordered from them before as they seemed a bit pricey. Do they have sales like DD does...or is the best I will do the coupon codes? I just want to make sure I get the most for my money!

Thanks!

The only great deal they have is typically a really good sale on criterion dvd's usually in september. They also sometimes discount a limited number of popular preorders. Otherwise the coupons are the only deal but if you like criterions that is the best deal to wait for.

They also do larger than normal discounts on popular pre-orders. These change often. You can also edit you order after you make it, removing and adding titles. That and using coupons are a good way to get decent deals.

Noticed they have a 50% OFF pre-orders for the first week of 2008. That seem like a good deal. However, itīs 5 titles only.

DVD Empire also sells used DVDs. They have vendors but I'm talking about DVD Empire themselves. The used ones from Empire also qualify for free shipping. I've purchased used DVDs from them and they've always been in pristine condition with all of the extras included. For instance, I bought the Poseidon Adventure (old one) from them and it had all of the lobby cards and thick booklet that the special edition came with.

Just a thought,

Sue
