Cool. I see a few I want. BUT. Amazon needs to add more titles.

Remember the DVDSAVE5 $5 off for spending $50 and using an AMAZON Visa. Plus if any of these titles are in your GOLDBOX, the $1 discount is taken off after the BOGO so you still save $1 even if the lower priced title is the GOLDBOX item.

what is this thing about putting items in your goldbox. How do you do it? If I do it now, can I get that discount?

I'm in for all 4 Harry Potters. Unfortunately I don't have the cool 10% off like some of you guys, or the Amazon Visa, but for $10 each, a worthy upgrade for my collection.

Even if Blu-ray does win out, your HD-DVD player will still play the movies next year that you are buying today.

It's NOT You putting them in there... It's AMAZON!

I had several titles from the sale in my GOLDBOX across a couple accounts. If you utilize the Recommendation system in regards to HD DVD's or anything else for that matter and in this case have all your HD DVDs purchased from Amazon used in the recommendation system and turn off all other purchases you can get at least a few of the Recommended titles being HD DVDs in this case in your GoldBox everyday. By weeding outs things you don't want you can get the Goldbox to work for you... $1 discount on single movies isn't much, but it adds up overtime. Granted it starts to suck when they constantly recommend Blu Ray titles when you don't have a Blu Ray player and haven't purchased any... Well worth the effort, IMO.

I had the 3rd Potter film at the top of my recommended titles for a few weeks and its been in my goldbox on/off for a little while, and today it finally paid off with this sale and it being in there today.

Thanks for the reminder of the Goldbox savings. I hadn't forgotten about DVDSAVE5 but I wouldn't have thought about the Goldbox. I ended up getting Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets HD-DVD for $7.73 net. Not a bad deal at all!

just put in my email to customer service since I bought the 5 HP's recently - should be getting back the cost of two of them.

Also put in the price adjustment for Pirates 3 BD - seems like that is down to $19.99.

Wow, the deal on the Harry Potter movies seems to be better than Best Buy's deal next week with the buy 3 get 2 free.

I went with the first four HP films

Question: do Fear and Loathing and/or Traffic warrant the upgrade? I haven't checked them out upconverted yet, but I'd assume they'd be top-notch and I want to keep the Criterion versions.

I read somewhere that the Traffic HD-DVD is a bad one. I don't know if they remastered it like Blu-ray did Fifth Element, but i have been told it is one avoid.

I own Fear and Loathing though and it is pretty great.

In for Harry Potter, tempted by a few more...but with some questionable transfers and lacking bonus features some aren't worth the upgrade. Sweet deals!

I want Hot Fuzz but that 3 disc set is also out there and seems more essential
