Help! Can't get PS2 games to work on 80GB PS3

Picked up Final Fantasy XII for PS2 yesterday. When I loaded it, it was a tiny box in the center of the screen, so I exited out and set the PS2 upconverting to full screen. Now it won't load the game at all....just goes to a black screen. Any suggestions? I've tried switching it back to normal, as well as off.

EDIT - I have one other PS2 game, Final Fantasy X, and it won't play as well. My five PS1 games play fine. Can anyone help?

Reformatted the PS3, and it worked. Backed out to fix my other settings, and it didn't work. Tried a third time, and it worked.

The 80GB is software emulation like the 360 so there is a list of working titles. Not every game works.

Yeah, I know that. Both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XII are mentioned as titles that work.

Welp, I guess if they work now, than I wouldn't worry about it. I hope future firmware updates don't screw with it.

Yeah FFXII is an important one, classic game! Glad that it worked out for you.
