Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray HD Disc Player $348.88 w/ 10 Free Movies

Great price on the player and it looks like you get 5 free instantly and the usual 5 free by mail.

Use your Sony credit card and get a $100 credit on your bill (valid on any Sony HD purchase at $299.99 or above) making it $248 plus 10 free movies. Or even better - if you don't have a Sony credit card I think they have a promo that you get a $100 credit after your first purchase, which could make it $148!

I am now officially format neutral. Just ordered one. With the movies, the cost of the player will come out to less than $100. Which kinda works out to the price point I wanted.....

Where does it state that Sony will give a $100 credit if using the Sony Card?

Thanks.

They had an ad in entertainment weekly for the $100 off. I'll look it up later.

And the $100 first time buyer credit is only valid on sonystyle.com purchases. Still the 40GB system w/ controller and 6 free movies for $199 would be an excellant deal.

What 40GB system w/controller are you referring to?

Wrong. I signed up about 6 months ago when they had a $150 promotion. Made a $10 purchase at Best Buy and got a bill for minus $140 about a month later.

Wrong. They changed it since then.

Well, just to check I went to their site and it states what yo all say, but a friend of mine signed up just over a month ago and still got it when he made a purchase elsewhere. So, I guess maybe it's YMMV?

Sorry for being late (been away for over a week). Found the ad again in Sound & Vision magazine. It says - Get $100 card credit after purchase of any Sony HD product of $299 or more with the Sony Card - www.sony.com/sonycard/hd
Terms - www.sony.com/sonycard/hd

Just got a Sony cad approved. So if I bought the Sony BDP-S300 from sonystyle.com, I'd get the 5 free mail-in, plus Spiderman3 (apparently a promotion they're running) for 399.99 - 200 = 199.99?

Sorry to kind of change the subject.

I don't think you're getting $200 credit. The terms of the deal say there is one $100 credit per account for the first qualifying purchase only. It seems that you're thinking you'll get the normal $100 credit and then a $100 credit for buying an HD item, but that's not the way I read the offer terms for the offer linked to in a previous post.
