Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Announced!!
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/836/836746p1.html
November 20, 2007 - Ubisoft Montreal announced today that it is developing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, a sequel to the Sin City-based tactical shooter released in 2006.
The game, which Ubisoft said is planned for "next-generation consoles and PC," is scheduled for release in March 2008 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Rainbow Six gaming franchise.
In an announcement today, Ubisoft didn't reveal much about the upcoming game but promised improved graphics, new gameplay features and new Vegas settings. The tactical solo campaign will return, and the sequel will build on its predecessor's popular multiplayer modes.
What happens in Vegas happens again in Vegas.
Co-op and adversarial multiplayer will return, and Vegas 2 will provide "unprecedented interaction between the solo and multiplayer modes," Ubisoft said.
"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas took the gaming world by storm in 2006 thanks to its technological advances and gameplay innovations," said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer at Ubisoft. "We are convinced that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will remain a pioneer in the highly competitive first person shooter genre, bringing more of what Rainbow Six fans love to the table."

As long as it has split screen co-op for the campaign again. Not this only over Xbox Live bullshit. Not everyone has a 360 or a high speed connection and I know this goes against popular belief but some of us even like to play games with friends in the same room.

I never finished Vegas due to its difficulty, but I'm completed all the other Rainbow Six games all the way back from the first one, so maybe I should go back and play it again. Can't wait.

Yeah dude finish it if you can. R6V was the 1st R6 game I ever finished. I played previous R6 games but this one really got me into the genre. IN fact, after finishing R6V I've been seriously thinking of going back and picking up the BC R6 XBOX games.

I think Vegas is overrated - the gameplay is nothing but very prediction and frag festival. If they can improve that can match COD4 level and keep the gameplay balanced, then it’ll be a great game.
Don’t get me wrong, I like few feature RBV has such as take cover (with left trigger), shoot around the corner, and snake cam. Those features that I wished COD4 included.

Anyway, I am glad to see another Rainbow Six game. I have loved all the games in the series (except that Lockdown piece of shit). RS:V ended in a big cliffhanger so it was obvious there would be another "Vegas" game in the series. I really hope that Vegas 2 goes back to the more tactical aspects of the previous games with the pre-planning elements and all that stuff.

Great news!! I frickin loved the first one. Only CoD4 had me more enthralled in the single player game.

I'm glad it's coming and I found it to be one of my faves. I wasn't even planning on getting it and I hadn't even played much of any RS games at all. I found it longer and better storyline than Halo 3. I was just getting into coop when other games came out. Still like to give coop a shot again.

Right, but I don't remember being able to hear the team in the headset.

I'm playing through R6V now...actually replaying as my 360 somehow deleted my saved game about halfway through...
Anyways, does the end of the game really set up an entire sequel within the same city?
