Best Christopher Lee Dracula sequal movie

I know HORROR OF DRACULA and BRIDES OF DRACULA are the best Hammer Dracula movies. But after watching the rest in the series they all seemed about the same and found it hard for me to pick the next best one. I would like to know what you guys think.

For me, it is Dracula Has Risen From the Grave.

Whilst the sequels are all fairly poor, Grave at least is very well shot with a memorable climax and several good scenes - Dracula's escape over the rooftops, the Bishop and Priest climbing the mountain to exorcise the castle, Lee contorting away from the image of the cross on his castle gasping, "Who has done this thing?" and several others.

The cast are quite adequate too and I had a small crush on Veronica Carlson as a young man.

Voted for Dracula Has Risen From the Grave also. I do think Prince has Darkness has better atmosphere with the location(castle, woods, etc.) and the early Hammer production style with the gorgeous color. But, From the Grave is an overall better movie. The start going downhill fast starting with Tast the Blood but I love them all just the same.

I know I would not pick 1972 A.D. or Satanic Rites. The rest is such a toss up for me.
These sequels did have some of the most hot babe leads in any film series that can stand up to the James Bond series babes.

I've always preferred the Hammer women. The costumes, the makeup, the hairstyles, the Hammer Look is very hot. I can watch any of the Hammer films just for the ladies.

My favorite Dracula sequel is a tie between Dracula: Prince of Darkness and Dracula Has Risen from the Grave.

Prince of Darkness for me. Even the lack of dialogue from Lee himself can't undo one of Hammer's finest.

And man, does it goes downhill fast!

I don't think I've ever seen one full through, but I seem to remember one scene
Spoiler:
the men of the village I think are out looking for Dracula, leaving the womenfolk behind. When the men return they open the doors, a flood of bats fly out, and all the women are dead, hanging and bloody. That always messed me up.

I don't know which movie that was.

That's Scars of Dracula. I don't think the Count actually needs blood in that one, he just beats his manservant regularly to maintain his strength.

To me it's close and I had to sit down and check mark : Babe, Dracula death scene, story, supporting actors, scary moments and Lee performance. PRINCE OF DARKNESS won all except babe.

The dead brother's wife wasn't bad.

The opening Dracula death scene in A.D. 1972 is very good.
They should have used it to end one of the movies.
