The HD Television (Programming) Appreciation Thread

I've done a search but I didn't see a thread like this.

As a new HDTV owner, I am amazed the difference between watching a show or football game on a regular TV versus HD. It's not just the widescreen but colors and depth. I realize people have been saying that, but seeing it first hand (and even outside of a store), it really surprised me. I'd go from the HD channel to the SD equivalent and could immediately see the difference...

Anybody else have this kind of experience when they first saw something on TV in HD? Am I making more out of it than need be?
