Boston Legal - 11/6/07

Suprised there was no thread for this. One of the best eps of the year with Denny being gold through the whole hour. I didn't care much for Jerry's love intrest but the rest was great.

I thought it was tedious. I'm quickly tiring of this show. I really didn't think that I could make it through the full hour. Funny thing is that I'm watching season 1 on DVD now and I love it. Don't like Jerry, hate the new black girl, don't like Laraqutte and the British chick I'm only luke warm on.

I gave up on it a couple of weeks ago - too much repetition. I thought the first two seasons were great, but it just couldn't hold my interest this season.

Where did Clarence go?

The message Denny was trying to show with his fabricated trial is exactly the problem many of us have with the show now: when's the last time Denny, despite the Mad Cow, was able to snatch legal victory from certain defeat in the courtroom?

I agree, the show is repeating itself and the cast isn't as strong.

That said, it's still an enjoyable show, though this weeks was a bit outlandish, even by BL standards.

So...am I supposed to feel good that Mare Winningham shot someone dead?

Exactly. Usually when Alan pulls one out of his hat you can see how the person would not be guilty or feel sorry for the defendant. In this case we couldn't sympathize with the defendant at all. Not a good case and one that Alan should have lost.

I'm missing Clarence, but thought this episode was definitely heading (mostly) in the right direction.
