What do you record every week thread.

So I've said for years "I live my life in fast-forward". I've been taping for the better part of ten years. No, I haven't jumped to tivo, i love my vcr, dammit! but, it isn't about that. even shows i can watch when they are on, i tape bc i am always pre-occupied during the week to relax and enjoy watching them, thus tape it all. plus, no commercials. even on the weekends i sometimes run out of time to watch bc i tape like 8 hours.

Monday: "Chuck" & "Heroes"
Tuesday: "Nip/Tuck"
Wednesday: "Pushing Diasies" & "The Sarah Silverman Show"
Thursday: "Smallville", "Grey's Anatomy, "30 Rock", & "Scrubs"
Saturday: "Mad TV" or "Saturday Night Live (depending on the guest)

So what do you tivo or digital record or tape every week??

I won't bore you with exactly what I record, but I'll tell you this - I record everything. I don't watch live TV almost ever. My digital recorder lets me jump 30 seconds forward so I don't have to ever watch commercials. The closest I come to watching something live is when I start recording a show and start watching it 10 to 20 minutes in, depending on if it is half hour or hour long.

I'm sure I'll leave something out, but I will echo that I tend to record every series I watch, even if I watch it live.

Monday: Everybody Hates Chris, Heroes
Tuesday: The Unit, The Shield, Nip/Tuck, The Riches
Wednesday: Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, South Park
Thursday: My Name Is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office, Scrubs, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Wow...I'm down to a shockingly small amount of TV for me. I'll pick up LOST when it comes back. I think that's Mondays now.

I should tape all my shows, because I'm constantly falling asleep during them.

I record everything. Usually 30-40 hours of programming, however I only manage to watch about 10-15 of it per week.

Surprisingly, nothing these days. The few shows I still watch, I watch live. It's nice having the tivo in case something comes up though.

I don't watch anything live.

Here's my lineup:

Monday: Heroes & eventually Lost, 24
Tuesday: Reaper, the Unit
Wednesday: Back to You
Thursday: Smallville, the Office, Earl, Scrubs, CSI, ER
Friday: Friday Night Lights

Looks like about 11 hours of television or 8.5 without commercials, or 7 without Lost and 24 at the moment.

I record almost everything (DVR style). If it's an hour long show, sometimes I'll start it when it's recorded 20 minutes, that way I pretty much catch up at the end, but avoid the commercials. For hockey games, I'll start it up after the first hour and speed through the intermissions.

I work nights so I’m usually sleeping while the shows are on; that’s no problem though because I have a VCR. I really need to get a DVR but it’s just as easy to throw a tape in and set the times.

Anyways, here’s what I record every week for this season (while until the WGA strike starts affecting everything and all the shows are repeats).

Monday: The Big Bang Theory, Corner Gas, CSI: Miami, Little People, big World, Canada’s Worst Driver 3
Tuesday: NCIS, Law & Order: SVU
Wednesday: Pushing Daisies, Kitchen Nightmares, Criminal Minds, CSI: NY, Life
Thursday: My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, Scrubs, ER, Survivor: China, CSI, Without a Trace
Friday: Las Vegas, Eastenders
Saturday: --------------
Sunday: The Amazing Race, Cold Case, Law & Order: CI

I'll edit if the WGA Strike ends and we see Mid-Season shows actually air.

This is all the same for me. Every show I watch, I record. If I'm not interested enough to record it, I'm not interested enough to watch it either. I never channel surf anymore.
