Outland (11/27/07) Remastered?

Loved this movie as a kid. Stayed away from the previous release due to the poor reviews. Anyone know if this new release is going to be remastered? Warner Bros online shop states that it comes with a movie pass. Is this pass for a specific film, or just a free pass to any movie?

Well, the original release was a massive turd. Is that what you meant?

Boy, I'd love to have this one in an acceptable presentation, either regular DVD or HD would be peachy. Great movie. A long-time fave.

Based on the lack of word-of-mouth or any sort of pre-release news, I have a bad feeling that this is going to simply be another of Warners' keep-case releases of old snap-case only DVDs. Same crappy disc, better case.

I really hope we get an anamorphic remaster. Outland is a great film and highly underrated. It's a shame that its only representation on DVD is such a low-grade affair.
