300 2-Disc Special Edition $9.00 at Wal-Mart
Hi All,
This is my first thread I hope I don't mess it up.
I work in Electronics at Wal-Mart. A few hours ago a price change came through for the 300 2-Disc set. It was over 20 dollars now it's down to 9. If this is a goof-up on the part of the home office they will catch it soon and it will go back to the original price in the system. I scanned one before I left this morning and it was still $9.00. If it's intentional they might not last long. We didn't have many copies.
My friend on the modular team that does the changes alerted me to this and there might also be a change on the 2-Disc set for Superman. We didn't have any but I think he said it went down to 9 also.
Be sure and scan it before buying if the tag doesn't say $9.00. If the tag does say $9.00 but it scans for more than that ( meaning the home office fixed it ) they at least have to honor the posted price that one time.
Hope this helps someone out.
Thanks for all the great posts. I check this forum almost every day.

When buying a laptop as part of the secret sale this morning, the cashiers were telling everyone that 300 and Superman Returns were on sale for $9. They had a couple stacks of them on the counter so that people could grab a copy with their sales if they wanted.

I went to my two local Wal-Marts and neither had the 2-Disc version of 300. They only had the 1 Disc and it was $19.
I'm gonna try one more Wal-Mart on my way home later.

As usual, my local Walmarts have none of the 300 2-DVD SEs... only the 1-DVD edition and HD-DVD which are regular (high) price. My local Walmart has a lousy DVD selection.

There were two discs versions at the Belleville Wal-Mart here and both of them rang up as $22.99 still. Which is good because only one had the slipcover and it was ragged. They did, however, have the $9.44 From Hell 2-discer!

Can't believe I actually managed to get in on this one!
For anyone in the Shreveport LA area, the Mansfield Rd store had 3 copies left after I got mine. Happy Hunting!

JACKPOT!
I went 0-3 today (third store had some, but they scanned at $22.96), but my brother went to the store near his work and scored 2 of the 4 copies they had. The checkout woman even called over the manager because she didn't believe the price it was ringing up for.
No slipcovers though.
Thanks OP!

DVD-wise my Wal-mart has been pissing me off.
Never got any of the Walk the Line 2-discs or the other movies that came with that sale, the 3.88 DVD display is STILL up with barely anything left so no new display to look through, and when I went to go find the 2-disc 300 they didn't have it.
It wasn't anywhere I could find and when I asked the guy working there he didn't understand what I was talking about at first ("For what system?") and then after walking to where I thought it was he pointed out the 1-disc and said "We had some when it came out... guess it's been awhile since we've had any." I informed him that I had seen it no earlier than a week and a half ago he responded with "We have a couple different women that come in here every week that put the new dvds out and just rearrange everything. I can never figure out where anything is... it's like if someone went into your driveway and moved your umm... your... toolbox! Moved your toolbox and rearranged everything inside, you know?"
Straight guys trying to make up metaphors amuses the fuck out of me, so I actually just let the whole thing go, thanked him, and left. Plus, I got some halloween stuff for 50% off, so I didn't walk away empty handed.
