During surgery, more than 60,000 people domestically each year experience "anesthetical awareness," a condition when anesthesia fails during surgery, leaving one completely conscious and feeling every incision, but paralyzed and incapable of doing anything about it. This is what happens to Clay.

I remember watching a Dateline special where they interviewed 3 people who actually experienced Anesthetic Awareness. They said that while it was happening, they prayed to be able to die because of the pain. After the surgery, they suffered from horrible nightmares, depression, and a fear of being out in public. The thought of it happening is truly horrifying.

I heard a story about a woman who had this happen during Eye surgery.

I'm not convinced Hayden Christensen is a very good actor. Given the right script he's good, but he really should've been better in the Star Wars movies. Though he was considerably better in Episode III. He sounds a bit wooden at times.

The film, much like the actual stories, sounds like it sucks big time. And that trailer pretty much confirmed it. How many times can they show Alba semi-nude in a trailer before they realize fanboys know she ain't droppin' the top?

Cool, let us know what you thought of it. I like the premise a lot, but something seems odd about this...
The movie was filmed two years ago, and now it is being released with no critics screenings on a weekend in which there is no other wide release to compete with. Seems a bit like maybe it's being dumped, but the one review I did read gave it 2 1/2 out of 4 stars and said it was good but not great. So hopefully it'll be good.

I like the concept, but after finding out who stars, and seeing the trailer, it looks like one of the worst films of the year to me. I really, really hope I'm wrong about that though.

First half of the trailer I really enjoyed. I realized Probably 95% of what I liked was the "Breathe Me" song by Sia and that the movie looked a bit too much lie "Stay" to me which I hated very much so I'm gonna wait til DVD for this.
