SAW Trilogy $19.99 at CircuitCity (YMMV?)

Hi,

I got my SAW trilogy just now at CircuitCity for $19.99

Is this YMMV?

I would say yes, it was $34.99 or something at the one I was just at. But you got pretty lucky.

they have had unadvertised sale prices before...even contradicting their own sale price signs and going lower...who knows?

Check other Circuit City stores.. and it seems most were on sale at $19.99

Sure beat the heck out of Blockbuster's cost by $2!

For those of you who got it/saw it for $19.99...was there a price/sale sticker or sign indicating the $19.99 price or did it just ring up at that price? I saw it yesterday at a local CC with a price sticker of $34.99. I'd bite on this for $19.99 but not the higher price.

Why are people so afraid of the scary Circuit City employees? I have no problem picking up a disc that has a pricing issue in question, taking it up to them, and asking them to scan it. If it is not the price I want, I say "no thanks" and walk away.

Normally I agree with you.

Never, ever, ask a store employee about a "deal" or special pricing. Just scan what you might want, and politely change your mind at the register if it doesn't come up with the price/package you want.

But at Circuit City, where it takes 30 minutes to get anyone to ring you up at the register....

I went to four Circuit City stores, two of which has a $19.99 sign on the DVD stand while the other two none.. Like what other siggested, bring the said set to the counter and if it rang up at $34.. then just simply say "No" else if it rang up at $19.99 pay it and walk out smiling!

No such luck at my Circuit City. As of 11 AM this morning, it's ringing up 32.99. I was unable to get it at Blockbuster either as all of my Blockbusters are franchises. I was able to price match the 32.99 price at Best Buy and get a ticket to Saw IV at least.

Plenty of suck luck!
Unfortunately this is standard for these weird phantom deals--they're tuesday only and unadvertised.

One wonders what the hell the point of them is...

Mine was plenty advertised since the shelf tag read $19.99 and that's what it rung up .

Well the girl I talked to said she sold plenty of them yesterday and they all rung up 32.99, but she could've been bullshitting me. She actually went out of her way to check the price on their website, though.

Just picked this up for 19.99 at my CC. It had a 39.99 sticker on it, but was placed over a shelf tag that said 19.99. I found it funny that it was right next to the Saw III DC which was 16.99. Even if I owned both of the previous films, I would've got the trilogy instead.

went to cc today to get it, they had a spot on the "new release" rack that said $19.99, but they were completely sold out, pretty lame waste of a trip. I'll try tomorrow up by school and see if people are smart there too.

Just got this deal too. Rang up 32.99 but showed the cashier the 19.99 price tag and she changed it for me.

Sounds like they fixed the price in their system then. Darn! It's YMMV from here on out! Good luck, guys. Now we need a shelf tag to get em for 19.99

I had the same instance here in Clearwater, FL (just got back about an hour ago). But there most definetly a tag on the shelf with the $19.99 price and the UPC on the tag matches the set.

Well, no such luck for me. It had a $32.99 red tag. Had them ring it up just to be sure and it was the same price. Ah! I'll just wait until the holidays or something.
