I bet you can't name this Halloween movie.....

OK, I challenge you since I cannot remember the title to this movie, maybe it's on DVD, maybe you all can help. I'll describe what I remember.......

1. Movie that I thought was a tradition on IFC during Halloween. Black and White, very old, like maybe 1940's or so, German, weird, trippy, devil, thought was the first ever halloween movie ever. Weird German type name.

EDIT:

Not Nosferatu
Not Der Golem
Not Cabinet of Dr Caligari
Not Vampyr - Der Traum des Allan Grey

Don't think it's Faust but it could be. I remember it being more animated maybe not even live action, maybe paper cut out animation, maybe clay. Just some weird stuff.

They showed "Haxan" a few years back. That might be it.

I'd guess Haxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages, but I'm not sure.

I would have never guessed Häxan since the OP was off by 20 years and the country (Germany instead of Sweden/Denmark).
