Iron Chef + Iron Chef America = LIE!!
So, I'm watching last week's Stargate Atlantis, and suddenly I'm thinking, "Hey, that's the ICA chairman!" Then I though, nah, couldn't be. That guy is a person for goodness sake - like Alton - not an actor. Then as the episode went on I was sure it was him. Well, perhaps he decided to branch out and try acting. Pretty big part for a non actor I thought. Good for him!
WRONG!!
I did a little digging, and it turns out the guy is straight up an actor!!
Sources say he only portrays the chairman, and that infact any supposed relationship between him and the IC chairman (Takeshi Kaga) is in fact not true as they only portray relatives.
Perhaps I've been gullible in all of this, but I feel so cheated.

You should feel cheatest because you missed him in "Brotherhood of the Wolf".
I'll forgive you if missed "Double Dragon".
Bender: I decline the title of Iron Chef and accept the lesser title of Zinc Saucier, which I just made up. It also comes with double prize money.

And Drive, with Kadeem Hardison. One of the most underrated action flicks EVER, IMO.

From what I gather, the chairmen are actors, but the chefs and cooking are all legit.
IMHO, the American version doesn't come close to the dramatic flair of the original Japanese version. (And, of course, now I can't watch the film Backdraft without thinking about Iron Chef.)
