I'm not a big Rob Halford fan but he should be on the list.
I got to give credit though they do have Al Jourgensen and Mike Patton which I believe are two of the best.

I've seen some bullshit lists in my day, but damn!
No Halford? No Glen Hughes? No Ray Gillen? Waaaay to much modern shit, too many non-metal acts (RATM, Tool). Was this list written by Hot Topic employees?

here are some of my thoughts:
Led Zeppelin is hard rock.
The Misfits were punk. Danzig (solo) is hard rock.
AFI is pop-punk (a genre I don't even acknowledge)
GnR - is Hard Rock
ACDC is Hard Rock
Korn - shit
Zack De La Rocha (Rage Against the machine) - definitely not metal
Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr Bungle) - not metal
M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold) - what the fuck has this band done to deserve to be on this list?

trying to discuss the merits of what should be included within a genre of music is tough, and really relies on how an individual defines it for themself. I have worked in the industry for years, everyone sees everything different and tries to convince you otherwise.
the line between them is just far too blurry in most cases, hard to put a label on anything these days, which is good IMO.
metal is one of the most diverse categories out there as well, but is of course just a evolution of rock, which is an evolution of blues, which is just an . . .(my point).
