I had no idea Doug Liman directed this. It looks kinda like a Nightcrawler movie, cept with Hadyn Christenson. I'll more than likely see this in theaters, but if I didn't know that Liman directed I probably wouldn't be as interested. It does look pretty cool though.

I can't imagine Hayden and Sam Jackson will suck as bad as they did in Episode III.

Looks like Mace gets some revenge. Looks alright. I started to notice that they put virtually no Hayden dialog in it at all, but then the end he had some. I was beginning to think, "Oh, great, the kid still can't act and they're hiding it."

shit, this looks like a great sci-fi flick. Look at the cast that they didn't show in the trailer:
Diane Lane, Michael Rooker, Tom Hulce

As long as it isn't George Lucas directing him, he can manage to be a pretty good actor.

Hey, I like Life as a House and Shattered Glass as much as the next guy. I was just pointing out the length of the trailer that the main character wasn't speaking.

Of course. I guess I should point out that I haven't watched the trailer yet.

I suppose we can consider this the Superman Returns philosophy for creating a trailer.

That was...suprisingly cool. I am completely unfamiliar with the book, so I'm interested in that now too.

The effects look pretty amazing too, which is great for a trailer.

They had me at Liman, but Bilson makes me even more interested.

Poor Hayden Christenson, as soon as here that name, I think of the AOTC scenes when he is romancing Padme! Especially the dreaded fireplace scene!

Actually, thanks to another DVD Talk thread, it's now officially "Samuel El Jackson".

Um......

Not sure where to beging with this but what is this based on? A comic or actual book?

Either way unfortunately I don't think it looks all that great. I could be wrong and it turns out to be great, but I probably would still wait for DVD.

yeah, I think that was the Best Actors/Actresses thread. The OOP didn’t want people giving answers like, “I think Tom Cruise & Samuel El Jackson are great actors”. Classic’!

Its being released in Febuary. Fox must not have too much faith in it to be dumping it off in Febuary.

A book. Jumper by Steven Gould

It has a sequel - Reflex

and kind of a revisionist parallel story with a character from the movie called Jumper: Griffin's Story

New trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/jumper/

<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uS8u4MDq7Ow&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uS8u4MDq7Ow&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed>

I think this is still looking pretty cool. I love the whole "hunters-hunted" vibe, and I hope that's not a small part of the film.

I saw the trailer before American Gangster. Ugh.

Doug Liman, what the hell has happened to you? You went from making a terrific indie comedy GO, to the badass Bourne Identity, to popcorn crap Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and now to this?
