Nirvana Unplugged In New York - Nov. 20
Nirvana’s legendary Unplugged In New York performance will be released on DVD November 20th. The concert, which took place November 18th, 1993, was released as an audio recording a year after it was filmed, but this DVD features an unedited sixty-six-minute concert that includes stage banter and two songs not aired on the original MTV Unplugged broadcast. Additional special features include previously unreleased rehearsal and documentary footage.

Stone Temple Pilots, the hard rock sensation based south of Los Angeles, taped a performance for "MTV Unplugged" in New York City in November of 1993. Band members Weiland (vocals), Robert DeLeo (bass), Dean DeLeo (guitars) and Eric Kretz (drums) perform a rockin' acoustic set featuring tracks off their debut album Core.
Set List:
01. Crackerman
02. Creep
03. Andy Warhol
04. Plush
05. Big Empty
06. Sin
07. Wicked Garden
08. Sex Type Thing
Recorded 11/17/93 at Sony Music Studios - New York
I don't believe they aired Sin or Andy Warhol. STT was this jazzy mellow version. It rocked to all hell.

I also would like a proper release of the STP set. Although I am a little pissed AIC got re-released...but it is awesome so i will probably double dip. Also, I also made Nirvana Unplugged my first CD purchase way back in 1994.
Edit - You know now that I think about it Live had an awesome unplugged set right after Throwing Copper came out. LL's was awesome too, and Oasis was one of those things you had to see to believe.

I'm lucky that my wife taped Live's when it was on TV back then, because I wasn't even aware it existed. I'd love for Pearl Jam's to one day be released.
