A few days ago we posted a story informing you about the existence of a special package at Amazon.com for a huge "TV Sci-Fi Bundle," putting together all the DVD packages of 9 different Science Fiction shows from Fox and MGM. Since posting that, we've gotten an e-mail from a reader named Steve Grubb, who spotted a similar package at Amazon, but this one for Animated shows!
Steve told us about the "TV Animation Giftset" bundle for mass DVD runs of 4 different popular Fox primetime animated shows, all sold in one neat bundle for $299.99. Since the list price shown for these is $469.74, Amazon is selling you these at 47% off. You *might* be able to find individual packages in this set for less, but you probably would have a hard time trying to beat the convenience of getting all of these with a single purchase at that high of a discount! For your money, you'll get:
* Family Guy - Freakin' Party Pack
* all 6 separate season sets available on DVD for King of the Hill
* the 2 season sets released to date of American Dad
* all 4 seasons of Futurama
The Family Guy - Freakin' Party Pack set included isn't scheduled for release until the end of October. Therefore, Amazon's listing shows that this won't ship until October 30th. I'm a bit surprised that The Simpsons isn't part of all of this, but of course the cost would go way up for that...and then there would be the controversy over which version of the box art to give on the last few releases. Ah, well!
