The "Official" AMICUS HORROR thread

Haven't seen anything recent here along these lines so...here it is.

Below is a list of all of the horror films AMICUS made in its history. I have NOT included the handful of sci fi titles OR the Edgar Rice Burroughs fantasies simply because the are not...well, horror. We can certainly throw them in the mix if you want. All titles listed BOLD have a Region 1 release. If they are no longer available, they are designated "OOP". I'll be adding more info to the post as I have time but it gets it up and running.

Horror Hotel (1960) aka "City of the Dead" -the "unofficial" first movie from Amicus- VCI
Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1964)
The Skull (1965)
The Psychopath (1966)
The Deadly Bees (1966)
Torture Garden (1967) Columbia Home Video
Scream and Scream Again (1969) MGM Midnite Movies OOP
The House That Dripped Blood (1970) Lions Gate
I, Monster (1971) Retromedia
What Became of Jack and Jill? (1971)
Asylum (1972) Dark Sky
Tales from the Crypt (1972) Fox Midnite Movies
Tales That Witness Madness (1973)
The Vault of Horror (1973) Fox Midnite Movies
From Beyond the Grave (1973) Warner Home Video
And Now the Screaming Starts! (1973) Dark Sky
The Beast Must Die (1974) Dark Sky
Madhouse (1974) MGM Midnite Movies
The Monster Club (1980) Pathfinder

Is the Scream and Scream Again listed the one with Vincent Price? If it is, then it was on a Midnight Movies Double Feature with The Oblong Box. And if you are only listing ones released alone, then nevermind.

Yeah, I already saw this as a problem. Changed it to show whats been released with a designation of OOP if it is no longer available.

For those with a region free player trying to hunt down selections from where ever, I would put the appropriate region # it is available in brackets after the non-region 1 titles while keeping the region 1s bold. For example, "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors" [R2]

A VHS version of THE SKULL was released by Paramont on their budgetary "Gateway" label recorded in EP mode. Haven't looked in a while but it was selling on eBay for and Amazon for quite a bit at one point but now can be had found in the $15 range for a good copy...

Newly updated...titles in BOLD are available in a legit Region 1 release....

Horror Hotel (1960) aka "City of the Dead" -the "unofficial" first movie from Amicus- VCI, Elite Entertainment (Elite DVD is OOP)
Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1964)
The Skull (1965) Legend Films/Paramount Home Video- NEW RELEASE!
The Psychopath (1966)
The Deadly Bees (1966) -coming in May from Legend Films/Paramount!
Torture Garden (1967) Columbia Home Video
Scream and Scream Again (1969) MGM Midnite Movies- BACK IN PRINT!
The House That Dripped Blood (1970) Lions Gate
I, Monster (1971) Retromedia
What Became of Jack and Jill? (1971)
Asylum (1972) Dark Sky, Image "Euroshock" (Image DVD is OOP)
Tales from the Crypt (1972) Fox Midnite Movies
Tales That Witness Madness (1973)
The Vault of Horror (1973) Fox Midnite Movies
From Beyond the Grave (1973) Warner Home Video
And Now the Screaming Starts! (1973) Dark Sky, Image "Euroshock" (Image DVD is OOP)
The Beast Must Die (1974) Dark Sky, Image "Euroshock" (Image DVD is OOP)
Madhouse (1974) MGM Midnite Movies- BACK IN PRINT AGAIN!
The Monster Club (1980) Pathfinder OOP

Most of the best-known titles are now released....with the upcoming release of THE DEADLY BEES that leaves only DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS and 3 of the more obscure but desirable films still unreleased. Not bad...
