What's the best console for educational games?
My uncle wants to buy my cousin a game console for educational games. My cousin is 6. What console offers the best array of educational games or are they about the same?

If he only wants it for educational games, I'd recommend the Leapster. There will be a much bigger selection of games to choose from. The kid's on the low end of the age range, so he should get a few years of use out of it. There's a portable version and a TV version.

the wii if you are looking for a console or the ds lite. as the ppl have said above me, the ds lite is the cheapest and and better option b/c of the numerous brain/puzzle games out there.

Well, a plus for the DS over the Leapster (or similar devices) is that he can have recreational games to go with it. Letting him play Pokémon for a hour or so after a good Math Play score would be an awesome incentive. By the way, the Brain Age games are geared towards adults, I think. It's more meant to keep your mind "exercised" rather than to learn.

A DS will teach him that dogs are immortal and require no food or water.
We've had Leapsters in the past, but they grow out that. A six year old is truthfully already past the point of getting anything significant out of a Leapster anyway, imo. The DS is the best way to go and currently only $120 at Target this week instead of the usual $130.

PC as pixy said. There are more "education" titles than you can shake a stick at. Just go to the electronics section of Wal-Mart or Target and you can fill up a cart with flash based Dora the Explorer or Bob the Builder games.

PC is your best bet to get some really focused educational games that will suit the kids age.
