Kung Pow 2: Tongue of Fury

From www.darkhorizons.net

Kung Pow 2: Tongue of Fury: Steve Oedekerk and Jennifer Tung will apparently reprise their roles in the sequel which is aiming for a 2004 release according to the IMDb.

They had better use another 70's flick. That was what made the first one so funny.

YES! Kung Pow is one of my favorite parodies! I can't wait for this one. I agree with Mopower that they should use another old movie, but I really don't see them trying anything else... unless they just film everything new. But re-dubbing the old movie was the whole point of the first one, so again, I don't see them doing anything different.

It was funny and I enjoyed it for the most part. Will be looking forward to catching the sequel during a matinee showing sometime down the road.

I must be one of the few who thought film was hilarous. And just for the record, I usually hate these types of movies. . .C
an't wait for the sequel, but honestly, why 2004!?! That's a mighty long wait, I mean it's not exactly a high production high cost movie that takes alot of development, is it? Ah well, the things we must do. . .can't wait. Thanks for the info, for a while I was worried they wouldn't make a sequel.

Hmmm, choices, choices. . . seeing Kung Pow 2 opening night or beating myself in the nutsack with a ball peen hammer for two hours straight. You know, after careful consideration, I think I'll have to go with the ball peen hammer.

Even though this is a low budget movie it will take them a long time to make it. Making the first one took a while. A lot of work goes into making this film. First, they have to watch hundreds of movies to find the right one that fits in with what they have in mind. Then building sets that match the old movie, special effects, etc, etc, ....

Here's hoping that the sequal is as good or better than the original.

The first one was pretty funny, although some of the gags got dumb towards the end. I'd definatly watch a sequel. For those that would rather get their nuts smashed... well i'll gladly donate my sledge hammer.

Didn't the Big G walk out of the first one?

I really don't see why they would make a second, it pretty much made Negative money.

You know

ever since KP came out people seem sharply divided. People either absolutely hate the flick, or, like me, thought it was a hilarious parody.

Granted, I personally didn't like some of the jokes in KP, but for the most part, I was almost falling out of my chair.

I am looking forward to the next one.

Oh, and for ya'll seeking an alternative to the ballpeen hammer concept, I do have an FYI...

Well, it only cost $10 million to make, made $7 million in its first weekend and ended up grossing $16 million. And who knows how well it has sold on video and DVD, so it seems like a money maker to me.

Holy crap!

I just saw Kung Pow tonight on Cinemax for the first time ever...

I don't think I have ever laughed more (or as hard) in my life. That was the hilarious!!!

I can't stop laughing. I'll just be sitting here at my computer and I start cracking up... The funny thing is that the previews looked horrible. I might have to go out and buy this one - its worth watching a couple of times.
