Arnold Schwarzenegger Comedy Favorites Collection?
This Franchise Collection contains both Twins and Kindergarten Cop which were both previously available only in full screen. Does anyone know if they are now in widescreen in this set? Everywhere I've checked reads 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen, but it doesn't say if all 3 movies are like that or just one of them (Junior was indeed released in widescreen previously)
If they are widescreen I will be picking this up.

All 3 films are presented in Anamorphic Widescreen. This comes in a nice slipcover which houses the actual DVD case. Both Twins/KC are on a flipper disc, one on side a, other film on side b. Both sides are dual-layer. Only a trailer is included for Twins/KC. Nice set if your into the comedy side of Arnold. The transfers were all nicely done. Of course I could only compare them to the FF crap. I already owned Junior. Highly Recommended 3-disc set.

For future reference Universal is one of the few studios to absolutely properly mark their releases. Several of these "collections" have included new anamorphic transfers for films either letterboxed or full screen (although the same does NOT apply to their double features, which use the existing discs, but will still be properly identified as FS if they are FS).

Glad to hear it, I had bought Junior about 2 years ago or so, and I have been waiting for a very long time for KC in widescreen, I will be buying this.
I've never seen Twins, but now that I will be owning it I guess I'll have my opportunity.

Found this at my local Walmart for only $13.72, great deal IMO....
Also picked up the new Commando DC there as well, for only $11.44....
Now if Fox would just get on the ball and issue an anamorphic True Lies SE, my Arnold collection would be complete!

Saw this at Wal-Mart last night for $13ish. I will be picking it up. Glad to know Kindergarten Cop and Twins were finally given a anamorphic widescreen release.
I also noticed a new John Candy collection (Uncle Buck, Great Outdoors, Going Beserk). I have the old non-anamorphic release on The Great Outdoors. As people already know the transfer is pretty bad. Is there any chance that this collection has a remastered anamorphic release as well?

Looks like you're in luck as someone over at HTF has the Candy set and has confirmed that The Great Outdoors has a new anamorphic transfer as well:

Haven't recieved the Arnie set yet, but I did recieve the John Candy set this morning and I'm happy to report that The Great Outdoors features it's first ever anamorphic transfer on DVD along with the two other titles in the set (Uncle Buck and Going Beserk).
The John Candy set is going for as little as $14 online, check it out here: http://dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=809522
