I am aware this would never happen because the Descent franchise has been dead for nearly ten years and was strictly PC. But I can't help but think the Wii control scheme would have been ideal for such a game allowing easy twists, rotations and turns with the use of the remote while using the nunchuck to dodge, reverse and accelerate. Oh well. Maybe a game of similar status could be created for the Wii if a third party would be wiling to take a chance of the little system.

Geometry Wars is old school arcade like Asteroids. Descent is a first-person flight combat simulator that has more in common with Wing Commander and Star Fox on the SNES.

Ah I see what happened now, I confused Descent with Tempest

I was guessing some of you who don't remember would confuse it with the new movie.

Or Donkey Kong Country.

Oh wait, I'm thinking of TIE Fighter.

Donkey Kong Country is a platformer like Mario.

I haven't played that in ages. I'm really surprised it didn't get me sick, although now it probably would.

Saw this and said.'this can't be the same Descent pc game? But you're right about the dizzy aspect but the game was cool and a blast to play. Already ten years?

I think it would work very well for the Wii. I still have the third (and last installment). The graphics hold up very well and it's still a blast to play. Would love to see Nintendo open the door for independents who could maybe design a game like this for bargain prices or download.
