Ever been to Elvis week?

My and Wife and are planning on 08. Is is it worth the trip? I'm a huge Elvis fan and wanted to go this year but it being the 30th Anniversary of his death, I figured it would be way too crowded.

Considering it was 105 degrees here today, I think you were wise to pass on coming this year.

Yeah, it's been that hot here as well. I was hoping some folks had been so they could give us some ideas on what to do, what to see, where to stay etc...

Re: Ever been to Elvis week?

Elvis Week starts today and I still haven't been. Every time we plan on going, something always comes up. Has anyone ever been?

I wasn't even aware that Elvis week had started but I was listening to the Deluxe CD sets of The 1968 Comeback Special and That's The Way It Is today. My dad and I are both planning to make a first time trip to Graceland next year when the weather is nice.

They have an Elvis week App that gives you the entire schedule of each days and events. Even thought I'm not there, I downloaded it just to check it out.

Re: Ever been to Elvis week?

I’m going to Graceland today. I had no idea about this.

Ha, I even asked you guys for Graceland tips. Is it going to be nuts? I have a 1:45 reservation.

With the candlelight vigil being tonight, it will most likely be one of the busiest days of the year. The Elvis Week App can be found on Apple and Android devices. You might want to download it today.

Re: Ever been to Elvis week?

It was busy, but not too crazy. Of course I don’t have a benchmark upon which to compare.

There were amazing memorials near the graves from all over the world. Brazil, Netherlands, and more.
