The excitement and anticipation that I possess for this latest visit in the saga is one that is only outshined by the dark cloud of uncertainty that hovers above. This would be due part and parcel with the fact that the majority of rumors surrounding the status of this show all seem to contain one with a grim outlook.

Excellent. Kudos.
We do not know the words of my Father... HBO.
Deadwood cut short. Carnivale cancelled. PLEASE DON'T STOP JFC now. Argh.

I should delete last week's ep from my DVR that I haven't watched and skip tonight's. I was thinking about that last night when I saw I hadn't watch it or last week's Big Love, neither show is really moving quickly enough for me. JFC (could stand for two things if you think about it ) is interesting, but what's really happened? I don't know if I could sit through another season of random he doesn't know Butchie insteads.
Still, I'm a whore for a show that might tie up the loose ends in tonight's ep.

I didn't think it was rumor the show wasn't coming back, I thought it was truth.

main bald guy (Utter from Deadwood) is Butchie's drug dealer, and the other guy is his lackey, why they felt compelled to help Shaun and the Yost's I have no clue.

After watching it the only satisfying conclusion would have been Ashton Kutcher showing up at the end and telling us we have all been punked. I figured Milch would leave a lot of it unanswered, but we didn't learn a fucking thing.
Linc and John's conversation was giving me a headache.

The one thing I got is that John is not Jesus, but as the second coming of Jesus, his father is Jesus and his father's father is God. Which makes sense in the context of "my father says" since it is Jesus that says things. Other than that, I am not at all sure what the hell happened, other than the surf company changed the logo and the best surfer on the show actually got a surfing scene. It was an interesting ride, but I don't think I would devote 10 more hours to it. Most frustrating thing is that they have almost the entire cast of Deadwood in it, and Deadwood is a show that I would watch as many hours of that they can make. Maybe "John" is just a big FU to HBo for cancelling Deadwood.

I enjoyed it, even if we aren't any closer to answers than we were when we started. I'm interested in reading all the theories, though. I think the show should get one more year to play out.
