When is Paris Je T'aime going to be released in N. America?

Hey guys,

I live in Toronto, Canada. I recently saw the movie Paris Je T'aime which was absolutely amazing. I am dying to purchase it, and I am someone who rarely purchases a movie on DVD-- only when it's excellent!

I can't, however, find ANY information on when it will be released on DVD outside of France. Even IMDB says nothing on the matter.

Any help? Thanks,
-Andrew

It's ironic you mention Paris, je t'aime...

Nice! I've been waiting for this to come out as well. I saw it twice in theaters and just loved it!

First Look just released it to theaters in America back in May, so it's no surprise that the DVD is being released in the fall.

I have the 2-disc released by Deltamac. The cover art is similar, so maybe the extra features will be carried over: http://www.hkflix.com/xq/asp/filmID....qx/details.htm

It says it's R3 on the case, but is actually R0. Also includes a nice 40-page booklet.

I missed during its limited art house run in Chicago, so I'll get the 2-disc set once released.

I was in Paris recently and saw that it was already on the shelves there, but didn't pick it up due to the price.

The trailer looks great and I hope I enjoy the movie as much as I loved the trailer.

On the linked page, it says the DVD is released in North America on November 11th.

Then in the text below it says it will be released November 20. WTH? Which is it??! LOL

So I never saw this but have heard some good things. I am interested in the two disc version. Are there any reviews out there at all? Picture quality? Are all the shorts included? I thought I remembered reading that the Coen Brothers piece was omitted for whatever reason. Anyone have this yet that could shed some light?

Thanks...

I think you're thinking about the DVD release of Chacun Son Cinema. The Coen Brothers short is included in Paris Je T'aime.

Ah. You are right. Thanks for the clarification. Have you seen the disc? How is the a/v quality and all that?

Wow. This is a fuckin' awesome set.

The picture quality is pretty solid which is a shock as I remember the theatrical print being in pretty terrible condition. Since I watched it on my iMac first, I haven't been able to test out the DTS track that comes on the disc as well in addition to the Dolby Digital 2.0 and 5.1 tracks.

The first disc includes a 25-minute documentary produced for English speaking markets as well as trailers for other First Look titles.

The second disc includes a nearly three hour (!!!) documentary broken up into 18 parts, but I haven't tested it yet as it does not have a "PLAY ALL" feature. There's also storyboards (video storyboards for Quartier de la Madeleine and comparisons for Tour Eiffel) and the US theatrical trailer.
