It's in the tip of my tongue. Robot cops. You find out at the end that
Spoiler:
the main cop is a robot
, which is a big shock. I searched for The Replicant but that's not it. I believe it's 2 words and the first is The. 70's or so.

Thanks

You probably mean Blade Runner. It's a film by Ridley Scott from 1982 starring Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer. The 'robots' are referred to as Replicants in the film. Blade Runner hasn't been shown in its theatrical cut in many years, and is most prominently available in a so called (albet misnamed) Director's Cut from 1992.

This sound familiar?

Spoiler:
Also the original theatrical cut never hinted that the main cop was a replicant. That was only added in the Director's cut and even so was never stated, only implied. I've never really subscribed to that interpretation - it makes the work a bit too heavy handed for me...great film though!

Yes that's it, thanks! I'm into a doomsday kick, with Blade Runner, Soylent Green, and The Day After next in queue. Thanks again!
