OZ all seasons $19.99 Ea. Wal-mart B&M YMMV

Stopped by Wal-mart (Warner Robins, Ga.) on my way home tonight and was checking to see if the Sopranos were $19.99 yet. They weren't but the HBO series OZ was. Not interested in this series myself but I hadn't seen this posted here and thought someone else might be. As always with Wal-mart YMMV.

How/where were they displayed in your store?

Anyone else find this?

Saw them at that price yesterday at my local store. They were on the top shelf of the first section of TV-on-DVD stuff.

not a bad price, which I still think is weird. I mean, they're only 3 disc sets...
anyway, $20 a pop aint bad. Might have to suck it up and hit wally-world. Is this in the ad though? could then just price match at CC. thanks

I've seen the first and second episodes of season one. Maybe I didn't give the show a chance. I prefer "Prison Break".

AWESOME price for a GREAT show! Not for the faint-hearted, however -- it's very intense. C-H is right -- it's one of the best TV shows ... ever!!!

If this is true in your area, you're better off going to BB, making your purchase at the full price, then going to CS to pricematch. If each season is $49.99 at BB, you'll end up getting them for $16.99 after the PM. And yes, the level of success with PM'ing varies widely at BB's in different parts of the country, but I've never had a problem with it, I just have to stand and wait while they make the phone call to confirm.

that was my plan, though most are only in the 33 or 39 range, so not quite that kind of savings.

Great series! I've seen it all a couple times, so I'm not getting it this time around, but I highly recommend that everyone pick up Season 1 if you haven't done so. This show constantly gets overshadowed by Sex and the City and The Sopranos, and it deserves more.

But not as much as Six Feet Under!

Still, I picked up SSN 1 when wally had it for 14.88 a while back, didn't regret it at all.

Any chance they'll release a complete series box set some time soon?

I doubt it...but if they did, I would wish they release it in a rotatable glass pod.

FangsFirst: I should check Six Feet Under out.

Yes, you should: and, to clarify, I mean that SFU deserves even more than Oz.

Alas, I did not find the seasons at my local store. Gonna try a slightly less local one at some point here...

I bought seasons 2-4 for about that price during the HBO sale in Jan at BB. Just might have to go get the remaining sets

Last time I checked the Wal-mart in Williamsburg, VA they didn't have them but I headed into Newport News and found them at their wal-mart. Got seasons 1-6 (last copy of 1!) for 19.99 each. I also grabbed Mama's Family season 1 (I have horrible guilty pleasures, leave me alone) and Ben Stiller Show complete series for 14.96 each or something along those lines. Nothing else looked like that good of a deal, the only other ones I recall seeing off the top of my head is season 1-5 of Dynasy for 24.95 each and Growing Pains season 1 and Murphy Brown season 1 for the same price as the Mama's Family DVD.

Thanks!

FWIW, if you watch Lost, you'll recognize a handful of the actors in OZ.

Okay, bought this based on recommendations here, but just a slight nitpick. It makes me laugh how someone can go from trial, through appeal and on to execution in apparently a week of Oz time. Still a good show though.

Have not found a Walmart in my area of Dallas that has this price, I will keep looking. I think HBO makes the greatest tv series and have never seen an episode of OZ.

ICraZyaZnl, not sure how close it is to you, but I bought mine at the Walmart at Preston Center, Montfort/Arapaho.
